Sinitta (born Sinitta Renay Malone) is an American-born singer who has lived in the United Kingdom for most of her life. In 1983, Sinitta released her debut single “Don’t Break Me Into Little Pieces”; she however found fame in 1986 when she released her single “So Macho” which gave Sinitta her first UK Top 10 hit when the single charted at Number 5 and then the following week when the single climbed to Number 2. “So Macho” continued its reign of the charts by remaining in the Top 5 for the subsequent five weeks and then only leaving the Top 35 three weeks later overall spending seventeen weeks on the charts. The following year after a successful comeback with “So Macho” she released the first lead single of her upcoming debut album which ha been announced to be called “Sinitta!”, the lead single was “Toy Boy” and the single reached Number 4 on the UK Charts a position on the charts it held for three consecutive weeks. “Toy Boy” also charted across the rest of Europe with he single reaching Number 9 Germany, Number 3 in Switzerland and Number 4 in Finland; the single also reached the charts in the United States. As the second lead single of the album Sinitta related the song “GTO” which reached Number 15 on the charts; overall the single spent seven weeks in the Top 40. “GTO” also generated popularity in Spain as the single give Sinitta her first Top 3 hit charting at Number 3. Sinitta susbeuqtentely released her debut album “Sinitta!” which was launched with moderate success reaching Number 34 on the UK charts and spent twelve weeks in the Top 75. The following year brought the releases of “Cross My Broken Heart” and “I Don’t Believe In Miracles” which charted at Number 6 and Number 22 in the UK respectively. “Cross My Broken Heart” also achieved Sinitta her second Spanish success single charting at Number 12. The following year of 1989 saw the release of Sinitta’s second album “Wicked”, as the first lead single of the album Sinitta released the song “Right Back Where We Started From” debuting at Number 6 before it then climbed to Number 4 on the UK Charts holding its position at Number 4 for two weeks; the song was highly successful and stayed within the Top 20 for seven weeks. “Right Back Where We Started From” also became Sinitta’s highest charting single in Australia and New Zealand where it reached Number 7 and Number 2 respectively. Following this success two more lead singles of the album were released “Love on a Mountain Top” and “Love Me Down Easy”.
